Wine Country /

Calistoga

Gorgeous hot springs, luxurious hotel stays, plus amazing wineries and tasting rooms. All within arm's reach from the rest of wine country.

Head on up to Calistoga for a long weekend or go mid-week for a more laid back, quiet trip. For long weekends, aim for Thursday–Sunday so you have two full days all to yourself.

Day 1

  • Drive in from the Bay Area—roughly 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Check-in at Indian Springs. Unpack and settled in, then get glammed up for dinner.

  • Dinner at Lucy, the fine dining restaurant at the Bardessono Hotel. Book it when you book the hotel so you have something easy for dinner to start the weekend.

Day 2: Wine day

Book 2-3 wineries ahead of time for a full, but flexible day. Plan on ~90 mins per tasting, longer for larger groups.

  • Stags’ Leap
  • Stewart Cellars
  • Domain Chandon

Before dinner, head back to the hotel to unwind and freshen up.

Day 3: Spa & Pool day

Day 4

ProTip: Always ask for late checkout first thing in the morning. If they can’t accommodate, they’ll let you know, but you’ll be surprised how often they can.

  • Breakfast in bed. Order room service, you deserve it.

  • Morning pool session. Slow roll out of bed and head to the pool for even an hour before checkout.

  • Shower, change, and check-out. Have a safe drive home!
